Karl Ludwig Kohlwage

Karl Ludwig carbon balance (* 31 March 1933 in Salder ) is a Lutheran theologian and former bishop for the diocese Holstein-Lübeck the North Elbe Evangelical Lutheran Church , based in Lübeck .

Live and act

After his ordination, Karl Ludwig Kohlwage became a study inspector at the NEK seminary in Preetz (Holstein) in 1962 . From 1963 to 1972 he was pastor at the Christ Church in Flensburg - Mürwik and was then appointed provost in the church district Stormarn , Ahrensburg region. For the next 18 years he also worked as a pastor at the Resurrection Church in Großhansdorf - Schmalenbeck . In 1983, he was interim head of the Alsterdorf Evangelical Foundation .

In 1991 Kohlwage was elected to succeed Ulrich Wilckens as bishop for the Holstein-Lübeck district, based in Lübeck . He held this office until his retirement in 2001 and handed it over to Bärbel Wartenberg-Potter .
