Karl Ludwig von Ascheberg zu Venne (born June 18, 1744 in Venne ; † December 31, 1795 in Münster ) was canon in Hildesheim and representative in the state parliament of the bishopric of Münster.

Life

As the son of Ernst Friedrich von Ascheberg zu Venne and his wife Sophia Ursula Droste zu Füchten (1707–1771), Karl Ludwig grew up with his siblings Ursula Sophia (Abbess in Nottuln ) and Johann Matthias Kaspar in the ancient Westphalian noble family von Ascheberg .

In 1765 Karl Ludwig received a cathedral praise in Münster after his brother Johann Matthias had renounced . This was followed by studies in Reims . In 1772 he received a prebend in Hildesheim . With the revolt to the knighthood of Münster on January 14, 1777, it belonged to the state parliament of the bishopric of Münster . He became a deputy of the cathedral chapter at the road construction commission and at the landscape penny chamber . In 1793 he was given the title of Privy Council.

He was a subdeacon and was buried in Münster Cathedral.
