Johann Matthias Kaspar von Ascheberg zu Venne (born January 14, 1737 in Haus Venne ; † August 3, 1818 in Ihorst) was canon in Münster , Privy Councilor and Prussian district administrator.

Life

Origin and family

Johann Matthias Kaspar von Ascheberg zu Venne was born as the son of the married couple Ernst Friedrich von Ascheberg zu Venne (* 1702, † 1762, 1729 real district administrator) and Sophia Ursula Droste zu Füchten. Both his father, his grandfather Johann Matthias (* 1675, married to Katharina Agnes von Lipperheide zu Ihorst) as well as his great-grandfather Johann Detmar (* 1649, married to Johanna von der Recke zu Steinfurt) had become knighters in Münster through revolt and were dismissed from office of the Werne Office . In 1760 Johann Matthias came into the possession of a cathedral priest from Münster through the renunciation of his uncle Karl Heinrich .
