Ursula Sophia Theodora Regina von Ascheberg zu Venne
Ursula Sophia Theodora Maria von Ascheberg zu Venne (* 1731 ; † July 23, 1811 in Nottuln ) was the abbess of Nottuln Abbey.
Life
Origin and family
Ursula Sophia Theodora Maria von Ascheberg zu Venne was born as the daughter of Ernst Friedrich von Ascheberg zu Venne (1702–1762, real district administrator) and Sophia Ursula von Droste zu Füchten . Both her grandfather and her great-grandfather were by Aufschwörung in the Münstersche chivalry come and Drosten of the Office Werne . Her brother Johann Matthias was the first Prussian district administrator in the Lüdinghausen district , while Karl Ludwig and Clemens August were canons in Münster and Hildesheim. Her sister Bernardina Agnes was a canoness .
Career and work
On October 30, 1734 Ursula Sophia received from the Turnarin an option on the stipend , which previously owned the late Maria Dorothea Korff. The revolt took place on August 25, 1744 and the election of a new abbess fell on May 30, 1780. Here she united all votes.
She was the last abbess in Nottuln Abbey. Their tenure was overshadowed by the events of the Napoleonic Wars. The Prussian king took possession in 1802 of large parts of the western August 3 Münsterland and of areas of the pen. By the Reichsdeputationshauptschluss in 1803 the abolition of the entire monastery was in favor of the Kingdom of Prussia. The king dissolved the pen in 1811.
