Karl Otto Schmidt

KO Schmidt (born January 26, 1904 in Laboe , Schleswig-Holstein ; † December 21, 1977 in Reutlingen , Baden-Württemberg ; actually Karl Otto Schmidt ), pseudonym Hilarion , was a German book author and life coach in the field of the Neugeist movement .

Life

After the war he headed the reconstruction of the Reutlingen city library and was editor of the official gazette. He was instrumental in setting up Esperanto work in Germany and wrote the first textbooks in this language.

Until 1969 he was district president of the International New Thought Alliance ( INTA for short ) for the German-speaking countries and then sole editor of the magazine Unity .

In 1972 he was honored with the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany for his services as a writer and life coach.

Posthumously awarded him the United Church of Religious Science in Los Angeles , the honorary doctorate . Schmidt wrote about 100 books with a circulation of 2 million copies, which have been translated into several languages. He is one of the most committed teachers of new ideas in German-speaking countries, with the New School of Life in particular being the main work.
