Karl Patonay

Karl Patonay , also Carl (born October 25, 1838 in Vienna , † March 11, 1895 in Berlin ) was an Austrian actor .

Life

Born the son of a tailor, Patonay studied at the technical department of the Vienna Polytechnic after attending secondary school in Vienna . After he had already been a member of the Osterlammkneipe , in 1859 he was a founding member of the Vienna fraternity Olympia . In 1859 he took part in the Schiller pageant . He belonged to the Viennese artist society Hesperus .

From 1861 he worked as an actor in German theaters, including in Cologne and Leipzig . He later became a court actor in Schwerin , Dessau and Brno . In 1883 he was engaged in Pest . He owned a wine house in Brno and had been managing director of the Siechen beer house in Berlin since 1884 .
