Karl Pferschy (born March 23, 1888 in Deutschlandsberg , Austria-Hungary ; died August 23, 1930 in Bozen , Kingdom of Italy ) was an Austro-Italian graphic artist, painter and craftsman.

Life

Pferschy's family moved to Bolzano in 1898, where he attended the sculpture class at the Bolzano School of Applied Arts. He studied painting at the Graz State Trade School and from 1906 at the Munich Art Academy under Peter Halm and Karl Raupp . In Bozen he studied with Carl Moser to color woodcut . He was a full member of the Styrian Artists' Cooperative .

Pferschy also worked for the glassworks in Kramsach and was a graphic employee for the magazine Der Schlern .
