Karl Reuter (born December 5, 1902 in Erlangen , † February 1, 1993 in Gießen ) was a German gymnast.

Life

Karl Reuter was the first born of a total of ten siblings. After his family moved to Gießen, where in 1913 he became a member of the gymnastics department of the men's gymnastics club 1846 CR Gießen , which at that time had no children's department.

At the German Gymnastics Festival in Munich in 1921 , he achieved 47th place at the age of 18. At the German Gymnastics Festival in Cologne in 1928 , he was the winner in the twelve fight . In 1953 he was able to repeat this success at the German Gymnastics Festival in Hamburg as an age gymnast.

After his victory in 1928 and years of unemployment, Karl Reuter took a position at the city treasury, where he worked full-time until his retirement. In addition, he was at MTV Gießen for over 40 years as a trainer and in other areas, and in 1970 he also took over the post of Gauoberturnwart.
