Karl Rombach
Karl Rombach (born January 18, 1951 in Schonach in the Black Forest ) is a Baden-Württemberg politician of the CDU and a member of the state parliament of Baden-Württemberg .
education and profession
After attending elementary school in Rensberg, which today belongs to the municipality of Schonach, Karl Rombach was trained as a farmer . After he had passed the exam to become an agricultural master in 1973, he took over his parents' farm in 1980.
Political activity
From 1981 to 2009 Karl Rombach was a member of the municipal council of Schonach and since 1989 a member of the district council of the Schwarzwald-Baar district . From 1993 to 2009 he was first deputy mayor of the community of Schonach. He has been a member of the Baden-Württemberg state parliament as a directly elected member of constituency 54 - Villingen-Schwenningen since the beginning of the 14th electoral term on April 11, 2006. On March 27, 2011, Karl Rombach MdL was re-elected to the Baden-Württemberg state parliament . In the state elections in 2016, he just lost his direct mandate to Martina Braun (Greens), but received another seat in the state parliament from the compensation mandates . He is a member of the board of the CDU parliamentary group in the state parliament of Baden-Württemberg, chairman of the transport committee and a full member of the committee for the environment, climate and energy, as well as a deputy member of the committee for rural areas and consumer protection, the committee for finance, and the committee for science , Research and Art, in the Committee on Economy, Labor and Housing, in the Committee on Social Affairs and Integration, in the Committee on Europe and International Affairs, in the Petitions Committee and in the Committee under Article 62 of the state constitution (emergency parliament).

Karl Rombach is a Roman Catholic . He is married to Rita Rombach, nee Haas, and has three children.
