Karl Sauerland

Karl Sauerland (born September 10, 1861 in Sigmaringen ; † January 15, 1939 there ) was a Prussian administrative lawyer and member of parliament.

Sauerland, who was a Catholic denomination, was the son of a senior high school teacher with the title of professor. Before 1883 he attended the Sigmaringen grammar school and then studied law and political science in Munich, Freiburg and Strasbourg. In 1883 he passed the first state examination and was then a legal trainee until 1889, among others at the district court of Sigmaringen . In 1889 he passed the second state examination and from 1889 to 1891 was a representative of the district administrator of the Bomst district, the district administrator of the Filchne district and an employee of the Poznan government. In May 1891 he became provisional administrator, in June 1891 provisional Oberamtmann and in January 1892 Oberamtmann in the Oberamt Haigerloch . He held this office until 1902. After that he was a councilor at the Prussian government in Sigmaringen until 1913. From 1913 to 1919 he was a secret councilor there. From 1919 to 1926 he was the administrative court director at the administrative court in Sigmaringen and deputy regional president. In 1926 he retired.

From 1895 to 1902 he was a member of the municipal parliament in the Hohenzollern region .
