Oberamt Haigerloch

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Oberamt Haigerloch was an administrative district in the south of today's German state Baden-Württemberg . The Hohenzollern Oberamt belonged to Hohenzollern-Sigmaringen from 1806 to 1850 , and then belonged to Prussia as part of the Hohenzollern Lands until it was dissolved in 1925 .

history

At the beginning of the 19th century, the Princely Oberamt Haigerloch was made up of the former lords of Haigerloch and Wehrstein . Both areas were owned by the House of Hohenzollern before the upheavals of the Napoleonic era, but differed in their legal status: Haigerloch, at times the seat of its own line , was a Zollerian allod , while Wehrstein was under Austrian feudal and state sovereignty until 1806 . In 1854 the district was enlarged to include the places of the dissolved Oberamt Glatt . By the law to simplify the administration of October 7, 1925, the upper offices Haigerloch and Hechingenunited to the district of Hechingen .

Associated places

In 1806 the Oberamt included the town of Haigerloch and the villages of Bietenhausen, Bittelbronn, Gruol, Hart, Heiligenzimmer, Höfendorf, Imnau, Stetten, Trillfingen, Weildorf, Betra, Empfingen and Fischingen. (The last three places mentioned formed the former rule of Wehrstein.) In 1838 Betra and Fischingen were transferred to the Oberamt Glatt, but returned to the Oberamt Haigerloch in 1854 after its dissolution, to which the other places of the Oberamt Glatt were also assigned: the villages of Dettensee, Dettingen, Dettlingen, Dießen and Glatt as well as the domain Neckarhausen .

From 1854 until its dissolution, the Oberamt thus comprised the following communities:
