Benedict Stehle

Paul Benedikt Stehle (born December 9, 1984 in Sigmaringen ) is a German drummer .

At the age of 17, Stehle moved to Berlin to become a professional musician. After auditions for the Berklee College of Music and the Los Angeles College of Music, Stehle received two scholarships and studied in the USA.

After graduation he toured the USA and Indonesia for 2 years. During this time he lived and worked in the New York music scene.

Among other things, he toured during this time as a permanent drummer with Sammy Adams , a rapper from Boston. In 2008 Stehle went back to Berlin and worked live in the studio or on TV, with Beth Hart , Mousse T. , Barbara Tucker , Dendemann , Emma Lanford , Eugene Hütz ( Gogol Bordello ), Della Miles , Drum Connection , Fetsum, Steve Lillywhite , among others , Mo 'Blow , The Weather Girls , Aly Keïta , Joachim Deutschland , Sandhy Sondoro and Fanfare Ciocărlia . Since then he has either been touring or recording for the music and film industries. At live concerts he also supports various artists as a background singer . Since he was 16, Stehle has been capturing everyday touring and its surroundings with the camera. He shows his black and white photographs on his website. In addition to working as a free session musician, he is a permanent member of the Romanian Balkan band Fanfare Ciocărlia , the Indonesian singer Sandhy Sondoro and the German pop singer Alexander Knappe .
