Obervogteiamt Hettingen

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Obervogteiamt Hettingen was an administrative district in the south of what is now the German state of Baden-Württemberg , which existed under changing rulers until 1814.

history

At the end of the 18th century, Baron von Speth's rule of Hettingen , which was part of the imperial knighthood of the Danube, only included the town of Hettingen and the village of Hermentingen . At the beginning of December 1805, Württemberg took possession of the manor, but had to vacate it again in September of the following year because Article 23 of the Rhine Confederation Act assigned the rule to the Principality of Hohenzollern-Sigmaringen . Since the Speth were left with their rights as landlords and tithe lords, the Spethsche Obervogteiamt Hettingen continued, now as a patrimonial office under the sovereignty of Hohenzollern-Sigmaringen. In 1814 the office was abolished and incorporated into the Obervogteiamt Gammertingen .
