Obervogteiamt Achberg

The Obervogteiamt Achberg was an administrative district in the south of today's state of Baden-Württemberg . It belonged from 1806 to 1850 to Hohenzollern , then until its dissolution in 1854 as part of the Province of Hohenzollern to Prussia .

history

Since 1691 belonged rule Achberg for Coming Altshausen the Teutonic Order . At the end of 1805 Bavaria took possession of the rule, but had to leave it to the Principality of Hohenzollern-Sigmaringen in accordance with Art. 23 of the Rhine Confederation Act the following year . Achberg became the seat of a princely upper bailiwick office . After the transfer of sovereignty to Prussia, the Obervogteiamt continued until it was repealed by a decree of January 18, 1854 and incorporated into the Oberamt Sigmaringen .

The Obervogteiamt coincided with the area of ​​today's municipality of Achberg .
