Bittelbronn is a district of Haigerloch in the Zollernalbkreis in Baden-Württemberg ( Germany ). The place is northwest of Haigerloch.

The Bittelbronn district includes the village of Bittelbronn and the hamlet of Henstetten.

history

Bittelbronn was first mentioned in a document in 1297 and belonged to the Haigerloch rule , which finally came to the County of Zollern in 1497 . Count Eitel Friedrich II. Von Zollern (1452-1512) exchanged his rule of Rhäzün for the rule of Haigerloch and all sovereign rights there.

On January 1, 1973, Bittelbronn was incorporated into the town of Haigerloch.

economy

The Stehle Orgelbau company has been located in Bittelbronn since 1894 and has delivered over 230 organs all over the world. Therefore the organ pipes result in the coat of arms of the former municipality of Bittelbronn.
