Karl Hermann Vohwinkel

Karl Hermann Vohwinkel (born February 2, 1900 in Hörde , Westphalia province , † September 22, 1949 in Würzburg ) was a German dermatologist and university professor for skin and venereal diseases.

Life

As the son of the medical councilor Carl Vohwinkel, Karl Hermann Vohwinkel began to study medicine at the Georg-August-Universität Göttingen . In 1919 he became a member of the Corps Hannovera . As an inactive , he moved to the Philipps University of Marburg and the University of Jena . As a qualified lecturer and senior physician at the Tübingen University Hospital , he gave up his position in 1937 “for political reasons” and went to the army as a medical officer . Most recently he was Oberfeldarzt and also worked as a military brothel doctor in Norway. The Julius Maximilians University of Würzburg appointed him extraordinary professor for skin and venereal diseases with effect from May 1, 1947 . There he was acting head of the clinic and polyclinic for skin and venereal diseases in building 12 at the Würzburg University Hospital . In 1949 he ended his life.
