Karl Würbs
Karl Würbs , actually Carl Würbs , (born August 11, 1807 in Prague ; † July 6, 1876 there ) was a Bohemian painter .
Karl Würbs was the son of a brush maker and initially trained with his father. However, he had great interest and talent in drawing and was therefore able to study at the Prague Art Academy under Bergler’s direction from 1823 . Here he turned mainly to landscape and architectural painting .
Würbs later became a professor at the Prague Academy and inspector of the picture gallery of the Society of Patriotic Art Friends in Bohemia.
