Karl Weihenmaier

Karl Weihenmaier (born September 9, 1863 in Tübingen , † April 16, 1915 in Cannstatt ) was a German administrative officer.

Live and act

Weihenmaier studied law and political science in Tübingen and became a member of the Strasbourg fraternity of Arminia in the winter semester of 1883/84 . Between 1889 and 1902 he was employed as a clerk at the Heidenheim, Schorndorf, Geislingen, Ulm, Rottweil, Gerabronn and Waiblingen authorities. In 1903 and 1904 he worked as a collegiate helper in the government of the Neckar District in Ludwigsburg. From 1904 to 1911 he was chief official of Oberamts Neresheim and 1,911 to 1,915 of Oberamts Nuertingen . He took part in the First World War as a captain and died of a wound in the Cannstatt military hospital . Karl Weihenmaier received the Karl-Olga-Medal in silver and the Landwehr service award, 1st class.

His son was Helmut Weihenmaier .
