Karl Wilhelm Ernst Heimbach

Karl Wilhelm Ernst Heimbach (rarely also Carl ; born September 29, 1803 in Merseburg , † July 4, 1865 in Jena ) was a German lawyer .

Life

Heimbach was born in 1803 as the son of the city judge Werner Konrad Ernst Heimbach . He studied at the Thomas School in Leipzig and the Dresden Kreuzschule . In 1821 he became tutor to Karl August Tittmann . Then he studied law a . a. with Christian Gottlieb Haubold and Christian Gottlob Biener at the University of Leipzig . In 1824 he finished his studies with a bachelor's degree . In 1825 he received his doctorate as Dr. iur. As early as 1828 he received a full professorship for Saxon law at the University of Jena . In 1832 he was appointed appellate judge .

His brother is the lawyer Gustav Ernst Heimbach .
