Karl von Bredow-Buchow-Carpzow

Karl von Bredow-Buchow-Carpzow (born April 13, 1832 in Ihlow in the Oberbarnim district ; † November 13, 1904 in Buchow-Karpzow ) was a Prussian politician and member of the Prussian manor house .

Family environment

Karl von Bredow was a member of the widespread middle-market noble family von Bredow , which had its headquarters in Bredow in the Havelland and first appeared in documents in 1251. He himself came from the Ihlow family of his family's Kremmen line .

Life

Karl von Bredow-Buchow-Carpzow initially joined the Prussian army as an officer candidate . After obtaining the rank of major , he said goodbye in order to dedicate himself to the administration and management of his Buchow-Carpzow estate. As he was politically interested, he asked his family, who had had the right to present the Prussian mansion since July 7, 1855 , to represent his family for the vacant seat in the mansion that his family was entitled to. He held this seat until his death.

Karl von Bredow was married to one von Bredow twice. From his second marriage with Thusnelda von Bredow (1845-1908) a son and a daughter emerged, while the first marriage with Sophie von Bredow (1836-1867) remained childless.
