Karlchen, a resident of a Westphalian village , sweeps the "main artery" of his hometown every day to pay tribute to the passing parade. What is more, it removes all dangers that arise. He carries an elderly lady across the street against her will. He tries to reprimand a physically superior truck driver . Meanwhile outbreak of violence can only be a very pretty, angelic emerging Politesse prevent the him to the adventitious Halteverbot draws attention. He even dumps dog waste randomly in an adjacent garden. He only does all of this in order to be able to lead the parade himself, which the Kapellmeister has been able to successfully deny him so far. When Karlchen marches in front of the train that day, the Kapellmeister initially evades him and then lets Karlchen be beaten to the beat of the music because of his persistence .
