history
The Karlshof was created as the Meierhof of the Weißwasser estate . It was assigned to the village of Weißwasser, where the trivial school was also located. The parish was Markt Weißwasser. The Karlshof remained an accessory to the Weißwasser estate until the middle of the 19th century .
After the abolition of patrimonial Karlshof formed from 1849 a settlement of the market community Weißwasser in the judicial district Jauernig . From 1869 Karlshof belonged to the Freiwaldau district. In the period that followed, a number of chalets were made at the farm . In 1930, eleven people lived in Karlshof. After the Munich Agreement , the group was assigned to the German Reich in 1938 and belonged to the Freiwaldau district until 1945 . After the end of World War II, the gang returned to Czechoslovakia and was now called Karlov ; the German-speaking residents were expelled to Germany in 1945 . The settlement was abandoned in the second half of the 20th century.
Today only the ruins of the Meierhof are left in Karlov.
