history

Karlsbiese was laid out as a colonist village from 1755. At that time the place was called Neugüstebiese, from March 8, 1760 it was called Carlsbiese. The settlers were Germans from Poland, they had to clear the land and build the houses. For this they were exempt from taxes for eight years. In 1799 there were 195 people in ten houses.

In the middle of the 19th century there was a church and a school in the village, nothing is known about the architectural style of the church. On July 1, 1945, Karlsbiese was incorporated into Neulewin.
