Karlsruhe is a court in Remscheid in North Rhine-Westphalia (Germany).
Location and transport links
Karlsruhe is located in the south-east of Remscheid in the statistical district of Bergisch Born Ost of the Lennep district on the city limits of Hückeswagen on the federal road 229 east of Bergisch Born . Other neighboring towns are Kaltenborn , Langenbusch , Siepen , Sonnenschein , Ober- and Niederlangenbach on Remscheider and Dörpe , Braßhagen , Goldenbergshammer and Därersteeg on the Hückeswagen urban area.
history
The location is unlabelled on the Prussian first recording from 1844. In the parish dictionary for the Rhineland province , two houses with 20 inhabitants are given for 1885. At that time the place belonged to the rural community Neuhückeswagen within the Lennep district . In 1895 the place had two houses with 18 inhabitants, in 1905 two houses and 16 inhabitants.
In the course of the North Rhine-Westphalian municipal area reform (§21 Düsseldorf Law ), the eastern area around Bergisch Born with the Karlsruhe residential area was separated from the city of Hückeswagen on January 1, 1975 and incorporated into the city of Remscheid.
