Karoline Schreiber

Karoline Schreiber (born June 14, 1969 in Bern ) is a Swiss artist and cartoonist .

Life

Schreiber had a scholarship stay in Cracow in 1995 , parallel to her training in Bern and Zurich .

As a comic artist , she was a Swiss-German artist in 1996 in an exhibition supported by the Federal Office of Culture under the title "The new era of Swiss comics". The Canton of Bern supported her in 1997 with a scholarship in New York and in 1998 with a work grant. In 1999 she received an award from the Binz39 Foundation. In 2011 she obtained a Master of Arts in Fine Arts from the Zurich University of the Arts .

Schreiber creates paintings, drawings, videos and photographs and has been a lecturer in drawing at the Bern University of the Arts since 2001 . Since 2018 she has also been teaching at the F + F School for Art and Media Design in Zurich. In 2015 she published the book Last Night with Samuel Herzog and Sarah Merten (texts) . Records in the Berlin publishing house The Green Box - Art Editions . She draws for Strapazin , among others .
