Katharina Elliger

Catherine Elliger (* 3. June 1929 in Bauerwitz , County Leobschütz in Upper Silesia ; † 3. November 2019 in Tübingen ) was a German writer who made their home Silesia sold was. She studied German, Latin and theology and worked as a teacher at the Annette-von-Droste-Hülshoff-Gymnasium in Münster . In 1962 she married the Graecist Winfried Elliger (Academic Senior Counselor at the University of Tübingen), moved to Tübingen and had two children with him. From 1964 she was a research assistant for Herbert Haag in Tübingen . She devoted herself to biblical literary topics and was active in adult education.
