Katharina Hauter

Katharina Hauter (born June 22, 1983 in Kaiserslautern ) is a German actress .

Life

From 2004 to 2008 Katharina Hauter attended the Bavarian Theater Academy August Everding . During her training, she made guest appearances at various Munich theaters, at the Kammerspiele , at the Metropoltheater and at the academy's own theater . From 2008 to 2011 Hauter had an engagement at the Bavarian State Theater , from 2011 to 2018 she was part of the ensemble of the National Theater Mannheim . Since 2018 she has been engaged at the Staatstheater Stuttgart .

Well-known roles previously played by Katharina Hauter were Bertha in the Fiesco Conspiracy to Genoa by Friedrich Schiller , the Meroe in Heinrich von Kleist's Penthesilea , Eve in the Broken Jug by Kleist, the Varya in Anton Chekhov's cherry orchard , or the Countess Orsina in Emilia Galotti , by Gotthold Ephraim Lessing . With the Snow Queen based on the fairy tale of the same name by Hans Christian Andersen and Bunny by Jack Thorne , she appeared on stage in two solo pieces.

Hauter has also been working in front of the camera since the late 2000s. She played in the Tatort episode Melinda and the crime series SOKO Munich and SOKO Kitzbühel . For her role as Anna in the film A Gift from the Gods , she received a 2014 nomination for the New German Cinema Award in the “Best Actress” category.

Katharina Hauter lives in Munich and Mannheim.
