Katharina Elisa Naschenweng (born December 16, 1997 in Spittal an der Drau ) is an Austrian soccer player . She is under contract with 1899 Hoffenheim .

Career

Naschenweng started her football career in her home country Carinthia with the club SV Rothenthurn in 2010. For the 2013/14 season Katharina Naschenweng moved to Carinthians Soccer Women in Austria in the ÖFB Women's Bundesliga . With good performances in the top division in Austria, Naschenweng attracted attention, so that SK Sturm Graz signed the young soccer player in 2015. In 2018 Katharina Naschenweng moved to the German women's Bundesliga for TSG 1899 Hoffenheim . During a training session in August 2018, the Austrian suffered a ruptured cruciate ligament and had to stay away from the soccer field until 2020.

National team

Katharina Naschenweng made her debut for the Austrian national team against Israel in the UEFA Women's European Championship 2017 qualification on June 6, 2016. In March 2020, Naschenweng was back in the 23-man squad of the Austrian women's national team for the first time after their long injury break.
