Laura Wienroither (born January 13, 1999 in Vöcklabruck ) is an Austrian soccer player . The defender has been playing for TSG 1899 Hoffenheim and the Austrian national team since 2018 .

Career

society

Laura Wienroither started playing soccer in 2005 and started her club career at TSV Frankenburg in Frankenburg am Hausruck . Further stations were the Union Kleinmünchen in Linz and SV Neulengbach in Lower Austria . In summer 2017 she moved to SKN St. Pölten . In St. Pölten she attended the federal upper level secondary school and the national center for women's football of the Austrian Football Association (ÖFB). After graduating from high school , she began studying media and communication sciences.

Together with Katharina Naschenweng and SKN team colleague Jennifer Klein , she moved from SKN St. Pölten to the U20s of TSG 1899 Hoffenheim in summer 2018 , where she moved up to head coach Jürgen Ehrmann's squad in early 2019 . She made her debut in the first team of the German women's Bundesliga club TSG 1899 Hoffenheim in February 2019 against FC Bayern Munich . In April 2020, she extended her contract with the women of TSG Hoffenheim until 2022.

National team

Wienroither completed assignments in the U-17 and U-19 national teams.

She made her debut in the Austrian women's A team in March 2018 in the Cyprus Cup against Wales , where she was substituted on for Katharina Schiechtl by team boss Dominik Thalhammer in the 78th minute .
