The Catholic Office for Missionary Pastoral Care (KAMP) of the German Bishops 'Conference has the task of "effectively supporting the further development of church witness in the present2. 1. Evangelization and missionary pastoral care

Unit 1 deals with fundamental questions of missionary pastoral care . Furthermore, initiatives in the field of evangelizing pastoral care and catechesis in the dioceses , associations and church movements are analyzed and accompanied on the one hand. Furthermore, own concepts are developed.

Unit 1 conducts its own events and events with church cooperation partners in order to promote and publicize projects of missionary pastoral care.

2. Pastoral care and society

Unit 2 observes social trends, especially with regard to the role of the Catholic Church and religion in general.

The task of the report is to understand and judge religious and ideological groups primarily from their own logic. With the knowledge gained, the advice centers of the individual dioceses are supported and accompanied in their work.

4. Faith information and online counseling

Unit 4 deals with aspects of preaching and counseling on the Internet and social media .

With the dissolution of the Catholic Faith Information, the projects internetseelsorge.de and kathisch-haben.de were transferred to Section 4 of the KAMP. Internetseelsorge.de was relaunched in 2012, followed a year later by kathisch-haben.de. Both websites will continue to be looked after by Section 4 of the KAMP and will serve to network corresponding offers in dioceses, works and communities.

In addition, Unit 4 initiated the conference of Internet pastoral care officers of the dioceses. In 2010 the conference met for the first time to find out about pastoral care offers of the dioceses on the Internet.
