Kathrin Glock (* 26. November 1980 as Kathrin Tschikof ) is an Austrian entrepreneur and animal rights activist .

Professional career

Kathrin Glock is the managing director of the Glock Horse Performance Center Austria, the Glock Horse Performance Center Netherlands and five other companies. She is also a member of the advisory board at Glock Health, Science and Research GmbH.

Glock is also a member of the supervisory board of Glock GmbH , a board member of the IGG private foundation and the founder of the Gaston and Kathrin Glock private foundation. Glock is also a member of the supervisory board of AustroControl , the Austrian society for civil aviation with limited liability (ACG).

In March 2019, Kathrin Glock was appointed to the independent team of experts at the Spanish Riding School in Vienna .

Glock Horse Performance Center (GHPC)

Since 2010, Kathrin Glock has been the managing director responsible for the international positioning of the two equestrian centers GHPC Austria and Netherlands. This task includes horse breeding , equestrian sports and international tournament organization.

The GLOCK team in dressage sport includes world champion Edward Gal , Hans Peter Minderhoud , Nicole Werner and show jumper Gerco Schröder .

At GHPC Austria, Kathrin Glock is dedicated to the organization of internationally important equestrian events under the name "Horses & Stars". Austria's only 5-star equestrian events take place at GHPC Austria.

Animal welfare

Kathrin Glock has been publicly committed to animal welfare for many years and is now one of the most famous animal rights activists in Austria. Because of her beliefs, she became a vegan . In addition to large animal welfare institutions such as Gut Aiderbichl , it also supports numerous smaller associations for the welfare of animals. These include sanctuaries , animal shelters , initiatives for abandoned animals, wildlife rescues and species protection projects for endangered animal species such as birds of prey , bats , hedgehogs and reptiles .

The Gaston and Kathrin Glock Private Foundation has been donating the Carinthian Animal Welfare Prize since 2017. As part of the events, associations and private individuals are recognized by an independent jury for their performance in animal welfare.

Kathrin Glock is also an active supporter of Gut Aiderbichl in Henndorf . Glock also supports other non-profit organizations such as B. McDonald's Children's Aid .

Kathrin Glock has been married to Gaston Glock since July 2011 .
