Hans Peter Minderhoud (born October 7, 1973 in Westkapelle ) is a Dutch dressage rider.

Career

At the World Championships for 5-year-old horses in Verden (Aller) in 2001 he won the world championship title with rubles . He won his second world title a year later, again with rubles , at the world championship for 6-year-old horses. With Florencio he became world champion of young dressage horses again in 2004 and 2005. At the 2007 European Championships in Turin , Minderhoud (with Nadine , a KWPN chestnut mare (* 1995, father: TCN Partout, mother father : Roemer)) and his teammates were European champions in the team championship. He qualified for the 2008 Summer Olympics , where he won the team silver medal with Nadine and was fifth in the individual ranking. He was also part of the Dutch dressage team, which won gold in the team standings at the 2010 World Equestrian Games in Lexington , Kentucky.

In August 2010, Minderhoud slipped into the 115th world rankings of the FEI with Exquis Nadine to 49th place (a month earlier he was still in 19th place). With two other horses he is 160th (with Exquis Escapado ) and 245th (with IPS Tango ). For the first time in 2011 he won the Dutch championships in dressage riding.

Private

He is in a relationship with his teammate Edward Gal .

At the beginning of February 2012 it was announced that Edward Gal and Hans Peter Minderhoud had signed a sponsorship agreement with the Austrian entrepreneur Gaston Glock for a period of ten years. Minderhoud and Gal are based in the Glock Horse Performance Center in Treffen am Ossiacher See for four months a year , and a tournament stable of the same name has been set up in the Netherlands.
