World Cup Finals 2011 (equestrian sport)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The 2011 World Cup final in Leipzig was the final of the World Cup series in four equestrian disciplines : dressage and show jumping as well as four-in-hand driving and vaulting . It took place from April 27 to May 1, 2011 in exhibition halls 1 and 3 of the Leipzig Exhibition Center.

For the first time ever, a World Cup final in four equestrian disciplines was held in one place.

The patron of the event was the German Federal Minister of the Interior, Hans-Peter Friedrich . Originally, his predecessor, Thomas de Maizière, assumed the patronage.

Equestrian sport in Leipzig

The Leipziger Messe has been the venue for the equestrian trade fair " Partner Pferd " since 1998 , which is part of an international show jumping and dressage tournament. Vaulting competitions have also been part of the tournament since 2008 , from 2001 to 2007 reining competitions (under the name LE Grand Open) were also part of the tournament.

The fair and tournament usually take place at the end of January; in 2011 the event for the World Cup final was postponed to the end of April.

Disciplines

As part of the 2011 World Cup final, the following international tournament series took place:

In addition, the finals of other national tournament series and a CSI 3 * took place here.
