Simone Christine Jäiser (born October 24, 1986 in Zurich ) is a former Swiss individual vaulting artist . At the FEI European Championships 2015 in Aachen she won the title in the individual ranking of women.

Career

Simone Jäiser on Luk , CVI 3 * Wiesbaden 2013

Simone Jäiser has been vaulting since she was four. In the then still small Voltige Club Harlekin in Freudwil, Zurich, she soon belonged to the first team. With this she won several national and international competitions. In 2003 she jumped in at the Vaulting Group St.Gallen at short notice to take part in the European Championship in Saumur (France), where she won her first team championship medal (silver) in the team.

Since 2000, Jäiser has started internationally as a single vaulting artist. After several fourth places at international championships, she achieved her first championship medal (bronze) at the world championships in Caen (France). With the European title in Aachen in 2015, Jäiser became the first Swiss woman to win a gold medal at a European championship. She was considered the most successful international vaulting athlete in Switzerland.

Simone Jäiser ended her career as an active vaulting athlete in March 2016 with a victory in the final of the Vaulting World Cup at the Westfalenhallen horse show in Dortmund .

Already at the end of her own athletic career, she was an active trainer in the Vaulting Club Harlekin, which her mother Rita Blieske co-founded, and now over 100 active vaulters.

Aside from the sport of vaulting, Jäiser has been an entrepreneur since 2010 and, together with her partner, runs a trading company for horse transporters.
