Dennis Peiler

Dennis Peiler (born April 6, 1979 ) is a German sports official and former vaulting athlete .

Career

Dennis Peiler started vaulting at the age of 8 on his parents' riding stables and was trained by his father Heinz Peiler. From the mid-1990s he achieved numerous national and international successes, with his sister Jennifer Peiler acting as the lunge guide for his successful horses Duemas and Massimo . He was German champion in the men's individual competition in 1999 and fifth in the European championships in 2007 . In July 2009 Dennis Peiler ended his career in competitive sports .

As a textbook author , competition judge , speaker and trainer , he continues to be involved in the sport of vaulting. He was also a member of the Vaulting Discipline Committee of the German Equestrian Olympics Committee (DOKR) until the beginning of 2012 .

Peiler has been working for the German Equestrian Association (FN) since 2004 . He worked in the field of public relations, most recently as press officer . Since May 2012 he has been the FN Managing Director Sport, Managing Director of the German Olympics Committee for Equestrian and Deputy Chairman of the FN Management. Before that, he was trained by his predecessor, Reinhard Wendt, for several months. Peiler accompanied the German riders for the first time at the 2012 Summer Olympics as Chef de Mission .
