Christoph Sandmann (born May 24, 1967 ) is a German driver and multiple world champion in four- in-hand driving in the combined classification.

Sandmann is very successful both nationally and internationally. In 1994 he became world champion in four-in-hand driving with the team in Riesenbeck for the first time. In 1994 he was again world champion in four-in-hand driving with the team in The Hague and in 2006 at the World Equestrian Games in Aachen. In 2012 and 2014 he was runner-up with the team.

His team includes Adolf "Arno" Fischer, Jutta Fischer, Jana Batterink and Anna Sandmann .

Life

Christoph Sandmann lives in Lähden and is married to Karin Sandmann. The couple has three children. Her daughter Anna Sandmann (born September 14 1995) is a successful two-horse -Fahrerin. Sandmann is an entrepreneur and owns a large forwarding company in the Emsland.

In 2002 Christoph Sandmann received the Top Driver Award from the Fédération Equestre Internationale (FEI). He was also awarded the silver bay leaf.
