World Equestrian Games 2002

The 2002 World Equestrian Games are the equestrian world championships . They were held from September 10th to September 22nd, 2002 in Jerez de la Frontera ( Spain ).

The every four years by the FEI discharged World Equestrian Games were held for the fourth time in Jerez. The main venue was the Estadio Municipal de Chapín , converted for the event , which otherwise serves as a football stadium. There were 15 competitions in seven disciplines. In 2002 Reining was represented for the first time at the World Equestrian Games. A total of 45 medals were awarded.
