Katia Winter

Katia Winter (born October 13, 1983 in Stockholm , Sweden ) is a Swedish actress .

Life

Katia Winter moved several times in her early years and lived temporarily in Italy , England and the USA. She studied acting both in her old home in Stockholm and in England, until she made her first appearance as a supporting actress in the film Stockholm Boogie in 2005 . In the same year she also worked on the film Storm , two more productions followed in 2007. After 2007, she paused for two years in which no major productions appeared with her. In 2009, however, she released her next film with Barry Brown , and that year saw a large number of screen appearances with eight films and appearances in television series such as Lewis - The Oxford Crime . This year's films also included the drama Unmade Beds , for which the director received an award. Two films with Katia Winter were also released in 2010, including the psychological drama Anaphylaxis , on which she worked under the direction of Ayman Mokhtar .

After moving to the United States, she was immediately engaged to the female lead in the film Arena , where she starred alongside Kellan Lutz and Samuel L. Jackson . Shortly thereafter, she played major roles in the independent films Love Sick Love and Banshee Chapter .

In 2012 she also made a guest appearance on the television series Navy CIS and that same year also got a recurring role in the 7th season of the television series Dexter , where she played the Russian stripper Nadia who works in a Miami club.

From 2013 to 2015 portrayed winter in the Fox - Mystery series Sleepy Hollow - an adaptation of Washington Irving's The Legend of Sleepy Hollow - the main character of Katrina Crane.

She currently lives in Los Angeles , California .
