Katinka Niederstrasser

Katinka Niederstrasser (* 1939 in Hamburg ) is a German graphic artist , draftsman and photographer .

Life

Niederstrasser grew up in Masuria . Back in Hamburg, she held various jobs before sending them to the Hamburg Art School (now the Department Design of the University of Applied Sciences Hamburg ) studied. She was "... in between a beauty dancer, printer in London , worker in a Hamburg cigarette factory, then photographer and graphic artist with a sophisticated fin-de-siècle line ...". In 1968 she designed the photos based on an idea by Albert Schindehüttes for the book Made for the quarreling sisters: Merlin's contribution to reunification . Wolfgang Neuss wrote the text .

Written for the book The Higher Daughter: Merlin's Contribution to Concrete Poetry from 1968 with a text by Ernst Kein , the photos come from Katinka Niederstrasser. In 1969 she designed the novel Gamiani by Alfred de Musset with 18 erotic illustrations. Together with Albert Schindehütte, they published the graphic portfolio Liebespaar- "Paarodien" in 1969. There are 6 etchings and 6 literary lovers: Lolita and Humbert Humbert , Kitten and Jimmiboy , Lola and Prof. Raat , Ysa, the white Chinese woman and Duca di Centigloria , Dulcinea and Don Quixote , Lady Chatterley and the ranger . "The individual observations were sometimes characterized by hearty eroticism ..." The image observations were contributed by HC Artmann .

In the early 1970s, Katinka Niederstrasser married the graphic artist Albert Schindehütte. They lived at the Hamburg Innocentiapark . The marriage ended in divorce in the mid-1970s. In 1993 Katinka Niederstrasser illustrated the children's book Clara by Justus Pfaue . In 1994 she illustrated Oltre i regni di Uthanak by Pier Luigi Luisi . In 1996 she wrote the book Uri e Sami together with Dalia BY Cohen and in 2002 Uri e Sami: due culture, un'amicizia in association with Dalia BY Cohen and Daniele Liberanome .

Katinka Niederstrasser-Nuvolari now lives in Positano in Italy .
