Katrin Prüfig

Katrin Prüfig (born July 31, 1968 in Detmold ) is a German television presenter , journalist , reporter and media trainer .

Life

Katrin Prüfig studied journalism, politics and law at Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz . In 1994 she received her doctorate there with a thesis on “The future of basic services in the dual broadcasting system”.

In 1992 she began her media activities as an editor and assistant to the editor-in-chief at RTL , where she was mainly involved in the development of new TV formats until 1995. She then attended the Henri Nannen School in Hamburg for a year . During this time she completed various internships at Westfalenblatt , Greater London and Essex Newspapers, France 3 and Radio 4 in Mainz, HR , Radio FFH in Frankfurt and 3sat . From 1996 to 1999 she worked as an editor and reporter for the radio station NDR 2 , from 1998 to 2000 for Deutsche Welle and N3 in the areas of “business news” and “news”. Since 1998 she has also worked as a presenter for the NDR programs Plusminus and Markt . She also hosted the program “Made in Germany” on DW-TV Berlin until 2008 . Since 2000 she has worked as the author of various reports for ARD and NDR. In 2006 she switched to the digital ARD news channel tagesschau24 (formerly EinsExtra ), where she and colleagues presented the "news every quarter of an hour". From 2012 to 2014 she was part of the team of presentations at Tagesschauen am Morgen on ARD.

In addition to her work for television and radio stations, Katrin Prüfig has been working as a media trainer at home and abroad since 2002. She also moderates press conferences, panel discussions, meetings and events.
