Katrin Rohnstock (born December 17, 1960 in Jena ) is a German literary and linguist , journalist , author and founder of Rohnstock Biografien.

Life

Katrin Rohnstock's mother worked on the management team at Carl Zeiss . She studied German in Jena and Berlin and dealt with the complex of the autobiographical . She gave lectures on this topic, including at the European University Viadrina in Frankfurt (Oder) . As editor of the book series Ost-Westlicher Diwan , she examined the cultural differences in the social tensions of the post-reunification period.

In 1998, Katrin Rohnstock founded the company Rohnstock Biografien in Berlin , which has set itself the task of publishing the biographies of private individuals and companies. At the same time, she organizes so-called storytelling salons in order to preserve the culture of storytelling. For this she was awarded in 2006 in the competition Germany - Land of Ideas .

For her series Ost-West-Erzählsalon , in which comparable life stories of people from the east and west of the divided city of Berlin are presented, Katrin Rohnstock received the Frauenbrücke Prize for internal unity in Germany in 2010 because, according to the jury, she was a bridge has created greater understanding .

In 2012, Katrin Rohnstock was honored for her innovative business idea of the Rohnstock Biographies in the Berlin Entrepreneurship Prize 2012/13 competition , where she took 3rd place.
