Katrine Veje (born June 19, 1991 in Fredericia ) is a Danish soccer player . The midfielder moved from HSC Montpellier to Arsenal WFC in January 2019 and plays in the Danish national team .

societies

Veje started her career at Vejle BK and moved to Odense BK in 2007 . In the same year she was named Danish Young Talent of the Year. In August 2011 Veje moved to the Swedish champions LdB FC Malmö , with whom she immediately won the Swedish championship. After another championship in the 2013 season, she returned to Denmark and played at Brøndby IF until July 2015 before moving to Seattle Reign FC in the National Women's Soccer League . With Seattle she reached the play-off final, which, however, was lost to FC Kansas City as in the previous year . Veje then returned to Brøndby. In 2017 she signed the French first division HSC Montpellier , where she also got the chance to play in European competition . She had six appearances, scored one goal and came with the French to the quarter-finals, where after two defeats against Chelsea it was over. Since only third place was taken in the 2017/18 season , the European competition was missed. At the beginning of January 2019 she moved to England for the Arsenal WFC this season and became English champion with the Gunners. In the 2019/20 UEFA Women's Champions League , she had only one appearance in the 8-0 home win in the round of 16 against Slavia Prague . Due to an injury, she did not appear in the 2019/20 season, which ended in May, and on June 12, her move to the Swedish club FC Rosengård was announced.

National teams

With the U-17 team she finished seventh at the Nordic Cup 2007 and took part in the U-17 European Championship , in which Denmark was third, as well as the U-17 World Cup in New Zealand , in which Denmark beat the quarter-finals later world champion North Korea lost.

With the U-19 team she took part in the U-19 European Championship in 2007 , where the Danish team was eliminated in the preliminary round.

On July 22, 2009, she made her debut in a game against England in the Danish national team. She took part in the European Championships in 2009, 2013 and 2017. At the 2017 European Championships, she became vice European champion, the best placement for the Danes so far.
