Katsuyama ( Japanese 勝 山 町 , - machi , literally: Victory Mountain ) was a city in Miyako-gun in the Japanese prefecture of Fukuoka .
history
Katsuyama was created on March 1, 1955 from the merger of the Mura Isayama ( 諫 山村 , -mura ), Kubo ( 久保 村 , -mura ) and Kuroda ( 黒 田村 , -mura ).
On March 20, 2006, she merged with Saigawa and Toyotsu to form the new Machi Miyako .
