action

13-year-old Emma Fuchs blows chewing gum all day long because she is addicted to chewing gum and wants to suppress her puberty . Together with her friend Lasse Köhler, she would like to keep rocking like a child and immerse himself in her father's railroad world. This beautiful ideal world threatens to collapse when Lasse explains to her that he has a steady girlfriend, Jana, with whom he is planning his first time . When Emma sees Lasse with the girl, she reacts with anger and helplessness. Although she has told Lasse that she hates swimming pools, she tries to be close to Lasse there. Unfortunately, the meeting of the two does not go as Emma would have liked.

Emma's mother wants her father to dismantle the railroad world; although he is initially against it, he then decides to start dismantling. Shortly afterwards, Lasse tells Emma that he slept with Jana. Emma then tries to make Lasse jealous with Tom, Lasse's teammate. In part, she also succeeds.

When Emma makes up her mind to agree to the dismantling of the railroad world, her father suggests building a home theater instead, which inspires Emma. With herself somewhat at peace again, she sends Lasse a message that she is waiting for him at the swing, that she will be there, no matter how long it takes. When Lasse appears, she tells him, of course he can do something with other people, including Jana, with whom he can also have sex and of course he can do anything he wants, "just ...", she pushes around, whereupon Lasse says: "It's okay, Emma" and takes her in his arms. Then they chew gum together and make large bubbles of gum.
