Kavalga Island is a small island of the Delarof Islands , a group of islands in the west of the Andreanof Islands , which are in the southwest of the Aleutian Islands . The approximately 9 km long and 40 m high island is said to be home to real ground squirrels (marmotini) and sea birds.
