Kellereistraße (Radebeul)
The Kellereistraße is an inner-city street in the Saxon city of Radebeul , in the Niederlößnitz district . The historic connecting path branches off from Moritzburger Straße and leads uphill to Oberen Bergstraße . Kellereistraße and the western part of the Obere Bergstraße that adjoins it belong to the “Fahrweg unter dem Leyme” mentioned in 1497 (ie the path through the Leimgrund ).
Development
The numbering of the house addresses starts on Moritzburger Straße with number 1 on the east side, i.e. on the right. From there the odd numbers run to No. 5, the even numbers on the west side to No. 8. Above No. 3, the Blumenstrasse branches off to the east.
Several cultural monuments are located along the Kellereistraße and are therefore included in the list of cultural monuments in Radebeul-Niederlößnitz (A – L) :
- No. 1, No. 3, No. 8 , Obere Bergstrasse 63
Naming
The road under the Leyme was already mentioned in the Kötzschenbrodaer Dorfrügen ( Thanneberger Rügen from 1497), it was connected to the Vyheweg (see Bahnhofstraße ), which led from the village green Altkötzschenbroda to the hut area of Kötzschenbroda Oberort . In 1879 the street was called Forststraße , which was renamed Weinbergstraße in 1924 on the occasion of the union with Naundorf because of the forest road there (today Kottenleite ) .
After the union with the eastern Lößnitz localities in 1935, the name was changed to Knohllnstraße , while Weinbergstraße was in Oberlößnitz . On the 60th birthday of the factory owner Bruno Herbig (1878–1953) in 1938 another name was changed in his honor to Herbigstrasse ; Herbig, owner of the company Gustav H. Paul Hoffmann in the former Fabrikstraße 1–3, lived in the now listed Villa Kellereistraße 1 (formerly Moritzburger Straße 40a) as well as the neighboring Herbig house (Moritzburger Straße 40). In 1967 the name Georg-Weig-Straße followed .
After the fall of the Wall in 1991, the street was named Kellereistraße after the Bussard sparkling wine cellar above .
