Kellye Nakahara

Kellye Nakahara (* 16th January 1947 in Honolulu , Hawaii as Kelly Nakahara Watson ; † 16th February 2020 in Pasadena , California ) was an American actress and painter .

Career

Nakahara played the role of Lt. from 1973 to 1983. Kellye Yamato in the television series M * A * S * H . After her appearance on this series, she only played small guest roles in series such as Our Little Farm , Hunter , Our Loud Home and NYPD Blue .

In addition to her - only occasional - work as an actress, she was a well-known painter in the USA. She lived with her husband David Wallet, with whom she had been married since 1968 and with whom she had a daughter and a son, in Pasadena, California, where she was involved in the East West Players theater group , the Town Singers vocal group and the Pasadena Cherry Blossom Festival . She was also the art commissioner for the city of Pasadena.

On February 16, 2020, Nakahara died of complications from cancer in Pasadena, one month after her 73rd birthday .
