Kemal Hür

Kemal Hür (* 1968 in Eastern Anatolia ) is a freelance journalist and works as a radio and television author, primarily in public broadcasting.

He studied German, sociology and theater and film studies at the Free University of Berlin . After doing interpreting, he has been working as a journalist since 2000 with a focus on migration policy issues for programs and broadcasts such as Deutschlandradio (Deutschlandfunk, Deutschlandradio Kultur and DRadio Wissen), Cosmo TV (WDR), Kontraste (ARD), Abendschau (rbb), Funkhaus Europa (WDR, RB), Stilbruch (rbb), Inforadio (rbb) and Kulturradio (rbb). Hür also wrote fiction texts for radio broadcasts and for the Kiez monthly show: News from Naunynstraße II in Ballhaus Naunynstraße .

Hür is also musically active. He played Saz in the house band of Radio Multikulti Los Multikultis . He was also represented in the Ensemble Nevzat Akpınar , which already played in New York's Carnegie Hall .

Hür has lived in Berlin since 1980.
