geography

course

The Kennerbach rises at an altitude of about 223  m above sea level. NHN in a forest south of the local community of Kenn.

It first flows about two hundred and fifty meters in a north-northwest direction through forest terrain and then crosses under state road 151 .

A little further down the stream it leaves the forest, flows through a sports field and disappears underground at the southern edge of Kenn. It now passes underground piped and in an almost northerly direction parallel to Reihstraße and then reappears on the surface after a good eight hundred meters south of Landesstraße 145 in an industrial area on the northern edge of the town.

The stream bends sharply there to the east-northeast and then runs about seven hundred meters south of the federal highway 602 ( Europastraße 44 ) along the northern edge of the industrial area. It then makes an arc through fields and meadows to the south and takes on the New Geischbach flowing in from the right .

It still crosses under the A 602 and the L 145 and finally ends in the eastern tip of the Kenner Flurs on the district of Ruwer-Paulin (city of Trier ) at an altitude of about 100  m above sea level. NHN from right into the Moselle .

The approximately 3.4 km long course of the Kennerbach ends about 100 meters below its source, so it has a mean bed gradient of about 29 ‰.
