NFL
New Orleans Saints
In the 2013 NFL Draft , he was selected in the 1st round as a total of 15th by the New Orleans Saints . In his rookie season review he came in 14 games as a starting - Safety for use before he had to undergo because of a broken ankle surgery.
His second season almost seemed to be his last. After very mediocre performance - the professional portal Pro Football Focus, which records all players statistically, listed him as 84th out of 86 safeties in the league - he should already be retired, but was still able to stay in the team.
The 2015 season was devastating again for the Saints defense - it remained the worst in the entire NFL - at least Vaccaro himself was able to improve greatly and for the first time set more than 100 tackles during one season .
In early November 2016, the NFL issued a four-game ban because he tested positive for amphetamine . After he refrained from an announced appeal, he began serving his sentence in December.
In 2017 he played strong, he managed 3 interceptions and seven pass defenses, but the season was over for him after 11 games due to injury.
Tennessee Titans
After Johnathan Cyprien , the Starting Strong Safety, was out with a cruciate ligament rupture for a long time, the Tennessee Titans signed Vaccaro in early August 2018. In 2018 he was used in 13 games, with 58 tackles.
In March 2019, he was awarded a four-year contract for $ 26 million, 11.5 of which was guaranteed.
